Giveaway Rules and Regulations.
Sponsor: Roots Canada Ltd. (the Sponsor) is the sponsor of this giveaway and is responsible for conducting and administering this giveaway.
1. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. - Giveaway begins 12:00noon E.S.T. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 and ends at noon E.S.T. on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 ("Web Giveaway Period"). To enter the giveaway , entrants must complete the following: an online entry form and successfully answer the skill-testing question. Giveaway entry form is located at http://contests.roots.com/us/en/. There is one (1) Grand Prize and three (3) secondary prizes to be won. The odds of winning any Prize will depend on the total number of entries received. Limit of one entry per person per day. Entrants may complete an online entry form, to be eligible to win all prizes.
2. DRAWING: Sponsor will select in a random drawing on or around Monday, March 6th, 2006 to determine a potential winner. Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential Prizewinners by telephone or email up to 3 times between Monday, March 6th, 2006 and Friday, March 10, 2006 after which alternative potential winners will be chosen.
One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected through a random drawing, based
on the number of entries. Secondary prizes will also be selected at
random through eligible entries.
3. PRIZES: There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won. The Grand
Prize consists of a $1500 USD credit for use on Roots Direct USA. There are three
(3) secondary prices of a $100 USD credit for use on Roots Direct USA. Winner
must (i) follow all directions and instructions of the Sponsor or their
participation in the Grand Prize, in whole or in part, may be revoked.
5. ELIGIBILITY: GRAND PRIZES: Giveaway is open to legal residents of
the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of giveaway
closing date. Giveaway is not open to residents of Florida. Giveaway
is not open to employees and immediate families of Roots Canada Ltd., PFSweb.
or any of their respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies,
licensees, advertising and promotional agencies. Winner must be free from any
legal restriction on their ability to travel or participate in the Grand Prize.
6. PRIZE CLAIM: All winners must agree to sign a declaration and release confirming their compliance with the giveaway rules, accepting the Prize as awarded, and releasing the Sponsor, and their respective parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, their directors, officers, employees, agents, affiliates and the independent judging organization, if any, with regard to any claims for, without limitation, injury, accident, loss or damage of any kind arising out of participation in this promotion or acceptance of prizes as awarded. Any potential winner who fails to comply with these rules will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Any notification returned as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.
7. GENERAL RULES: The Sponsor shall not be liable for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, not received, stolen, mutilated or illegible entries. By entering this drawing, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and independent judging organization, if any, which are final, binding and conclusive on all matters relating to this giveaway . All entries become the property of the Sponsor, none will be returned and no correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants who will be notified by telephone or e-mail. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify all entrants who fail to follow these official rules and regulations or who make any misrepresentation relating to the giveaway , drawing and redemption of the Prize awarded. This giveaway is subject to all applicable Federal, State and Municipal legislation. Entry constitutes permission to use the winner's name, photograph and/or voice recording for publicity purposes without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. At Roots Canada Ltd., we are committed to respecting your desire for privacy. Any personal information that we gather will remain confidential in our system. Please note that by submitting personal information to Roots Canada Ltd., you consent to our use as described above. Taxes (if applicable) on the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner may not substitute or transfer the prize. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to modify or make changes to this giveaway , as circumstances require.
The Sponsor shall not be responsible for any failure of the website during the promotion or for any problems or technical malfunction of a telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail, on-line, or Internet entry to be received by the Sponsor. In addition, the Sponsor shall not be responsible due to technical problems, traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion. The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel or suspend this giveaway should a virus, bug or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor corrupt the security or proper administration of the giveaway . Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.
